OWN Restaurant was started with a simple but powerful belief: good health begins with good food.
Today, hospitals are seeing more patients because healthy food habits are declining. Many health problems stem from poor-quality food, chemicals, preservatives, unhygienic cooking practices, and unhealthy ingredients. Our mission is to bring people back to clean, natural, and trustworthy food.
OWN is built around Nadan Kozhi (free-range country chicken). We serve only healthy, naturally grown country chicken, cooked with our carefully prepared OWN Masala, without any unnecessary artificial additives or harmful ingredients.
Our country chickens are raised through a community-based model, where local women are encouraged to rear chickens in their own homes and surroundings. This creates an additional income opportunity for families—especially women—while also helping us ensure better quality and traceability.
These chickens are not raised with chemical-based feed or artificial methods. They grow in a natural environment, move freely, and mostly consume regular home-based and natural food. This makes the meat more authentic, healthier, and closer to our traditional way of living.
OWN is not just a restaurant; it is part of a much larger vision by our founder, Krishnakumar K. T. As a social entrepreneur, experienced banker, and an IIM alumnus, his mission is to create food brands that protect health, support farmers, uplift local communities, promote hygiene, and respect nature.

Every ingredient has a story. Our Kanthari chilis come from farmers in Wayanad, and our chickens are slow-cooked in pure, traditional coconut oil—preserving the authentic aroma and nutritional value of every dish.
